Wingate's Quality Watches LLC was established in 1976. Over the last thirty years, we have come to pride ourselves in the quality of merchandise we offer. Our attention is focused on the fine details of quality timepieces with safe, prompt delivery to our customers worldwide. Our selection of high quality wrist watches and pocket watches is constantly changing, giving our customers the opportunity to select from many brands. If you are looking for a special timepiece you do not see listed, please let us know. We have developed infinite sources around the world to help us locate the finest of all timepieces from every major luxury brand.

Does Wingate's have a showroom?

Wingate's Quality Watches LLC is an Internet-based company. We do not have a retail showroom. We specialize in mail-order sales and offer our customers the highest quality timepieces at excellent prices, far below most retail stores. A Three-Day Inspection/Return Privilege is offered on all of our previously-owned watches.

Does Wingate's recondition watches before they are sold?

We purchase only the finest high quality watches from both individual collectors and dealers. After purchase, we assign each watch to one of our expert watchmakers, who carefully inspect and meticulously recondition all our previously-owned timepieces to as like-new condition as possible. Additionally, our watchmakers certify and authenticate all timepieces before we purchase them for our inventory. Our detailed certification and careful reconditioning process guarantees all of our watches are running great and all are authentic!

Are these watches new or previously-owned?

We specialize in high quality previously-owned watches from almost every luxury brand. In the description of our watches, each timepiece will be classified as previously-owned or never worn/new.

What does "Never Worn" mean?

When we describe a watch as “never worn,” we are describing a watch that has never been previously-owned by someone else – just like watches you would purchase in retail store but at prices much lower than the retail price.

Do your watches come with Box and Papers?

As we purchase watches, some come with Box and Papers and some do not. In the description of our watches, we will always note if the watch has its Box or Papers included.

Do you sell watch parts?

How do you determine the size of your pocket watches?

Throughout the course of watchmaking history, many countries developed their own size measurement systems. In our pocket watch descriptions, we use the American movement measurement system, and we also include an outside diameter measurement of the case in millimeters.

May I return my watch if I don't like it?

Previously-Owned Watches

For your satisfaction, we offer a Three-Day Inspection/Return Privilege on all of our “Previously-Owned” watches. 100% satisfaction is our guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will refund your payment (less shipping) upon receipt of the watch in our office. Shipping charges are not refundable. The watch must be in the same condition it was received. Please Contact Us by the third business day after you receive the watch if you decide to return it. This has been our customer satisfaction guarantee since 1976.

Never Worn/New Watches

A watch can only be sold as “Never Worn/New” one time! When our customers order a “Never Worn/New” watch they expect exactly that, a watch that has not been previously worn or used by someone else. Many retailers and online stores have very liberal return policies on “Never Worn/New” watches. Chances are if you order a luxury watch from one of these stores you may receive a watch that you thought was “Never Worn/New” but may have been worn by someone else and then returned -- perhaps even dropped or damaged.
To ensure that our customers receive a true “Never Worn/New” watch, we do not accept returns on “Never Worn/New” watches.

How do you determine the size of your wrist watches?

Millimeters (mm) are always used for accurate measurement of our wrist watches. The case size is always noted in our watch descriptions.

For measurement of round style watches: We measure the outside diameter of the case, not including the winding crown. Example: (36mm dia.).

For measurement of square, rectangular or cushion style watches: The first measurement is taken across the case, outside edge to outside edge, not including the winding crown. The second measurement is taken vertically from the tip end of the case lug to the opposite lug tip end. Example: (30x42mm).

Warranty/Repair
Do you offer a long-term warranty on your previously-owned watches?

We have chosen to keep our prices to an absolute minimum and not inflate the cost of our watches with long-term warranty expenses that most likely will never be used. We also realize that most of our customers live outside the Dallas area and would prefer future service work to be done by a watchmaker in their area for their convenience. This policy allows us to eliminate extra shipping expenses for our customers.

When my watch arrives, may I have it examined by someone I trust?

Yes! Our Three-Day Inspection/Return Privilege allows our customers the opportunity to examine their purchase and/or have it examined by their favorite jeweler or watchmaker. This ensures that our customers are completely satisfied with their purchases.

Do you repair watches?

Our expert watchmakers carefully inspect and meticulously recondition all our previously owned timepieces to as like-new condition as possible. Additionally, Our watchmakers certify and authenticate all timepieces before we purchase them for our inventory.

Our detailed certification and careful reconditioning process guarantees all of our watches are running great and all are authentic!

However, if you do experience a problem with a watch you have purchased from us, or have a question on how to care or operate it, please contact us promptly after receiving the watch. Our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your watch.

May I order the watch over the Internet?

Yes! You may order a watch over the Internet. All orders will be confirmed. We will respond to your email request for reservation in the order received.

Do you have a layaway or payment plan?

We offer a 30-Day Payment Plan, which requires 50% payment with a check or bank transfer and the balance paid in full within 30 days.

Do I have to pay sales taxes if I live outside Texas?

All shipments outside Texas are exempt from Texas State Sales Tax.

All shipments outside Texas are exempt from Texas sales taxes. International purchasers, please check with your country's customs office for import taxes that might be due on your purchase.

How do I place my order?

When you have selected the watch or watches of your choice from our online catalog, please Contact Us by phone, fax or email to determine availability and formally place your order using our Wingate’s inventory number. At this time, our sales staff will be happy to answer any questions regarding the watch or watches you have selected. You may also order a watch via our website with payment by credit card. All online orders will be confirmed.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Central Standard Time. Our voice mail is on at all other times. Leave your message, clearly stating your name, area code, phone number, and the item in which you are interested. Watch reservations can be made by voice mail, email or fax. All messages will be responded to in the order received.

We employ a sales staff of long-standing, highly-qualified watch experts, one of which will become your personal assistant with information on the perfect watch for you.

Do I have to pay sales taxes if I live in Texas?

All purchases and repairs shipped within the state of Texas will be taxed at a rate of 8.25%.

Texas jewelry and watch dealers are exempt from sales tax with a valid Texas Resale Certificate.

How do you ensure that my high quality purchase will ship securely?

Our shipping department takes the utmost care in packing our merchandise for shipment. Every item is packed securely and carefully. In addition, every shipment is insured fully and is our responsibility until it reaches your doorstep. For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all orders.

What happens if my package gets lost during shipping?

We will track your package promptly with the shipping service broker and try to locate the package as quickly as possible. Losses are rare, but they do sometimes happen. We resolved shipping problems as quickly as we can by promptly following up on the shipment tracking and insurance payment.
